Adult Ministries @ Jamestown

Deuteronomy 4:29 says "But if from there you seek the Lord your God, you will find him if you seek him with all your heart and with all your soul." As Christ followers, we seek to learn His will for our lives and to become closer to Him.
That learning process comes through the study of God’s Word, prayer, and discussion with others.

Our Adult Ministries seek to assist in that continual learning process.

Bible Studies

There are currently two different opportunities for Adult Bible Study (men and women) at Jamestown.

Men’s Bible Study: Led by Dave Pruis, this group meets on the first and third Wednesday mornings of each month at 6:30 AM. Currently studying Galatians.

Women’s Bible Study meets every-other Thursday. One group of women meets on Thursday afternoons at 1:30 PM, another group meets on Thursday evenings at 7 PM. Both groups are studying the same material: Romans. [beginning on October 6, 2016]

The ReaLife group is for young adults who have graduated from high school, and includes singles as well as newly married couples. Meetings are held once a month on Sunday evenings. Various topics are covered that are relevant to their lives, and to encourage their walk with Christ. Fun events are also planned throughout the year to build community.

Small Groups

At Jamestown, our congregation participates in annual small group campaigns. These have included “Better Together”, which taught us how to love one another and then reach out to others in love, and “Just Walk Across the Room” which helped us understand how to effectively share our faith. In addition, throughout the year, groups meet and cover various topics of their choosing.
