Adult Ministries @ Jamestown
Deuteronomy 4:29 says "But if from there you seek the Lord your God, you will find him if you seek him with all your heart and with all your soul." As Christ followers, we seek to learn His will for our lives and to become closer to Him.
That learning process comes through the study of God’s Word, prayer, and discussion with others.
Our Adult Ministries seek to assist in that continual learning process.
Men’s Morning Bible Study: Led by Dave Pruis, this group meets on the first and third Wednesday mornings of each month at 6:30 AM. Currently studying 2 Timothy.
Applesauce Bible Study: A young women’s (single, early married, young mothers) Bible study, based on the program Apples of Gold: a nurturing, inter-generational connection that teaches women how to love their husbands & children; and practice submission, hospitality, kindness and purity. Meets monthly on a Wednesday evening.
Men’s Evening Bible Study: For men just out of the house to men with children living at home yet. Meets on the 3rd Thursday each month at 7 PM at a restaurant.
Women’s Bible Study:
The ReaLife group is for young adults who have graduated from high school, and includes singles as well as newly married couples. Meetings are held once a month on Sunday evenings. Various topics are covered that are relevant to their lives, and to encourage their walk with Christ. Fun events are also planned throughout the year to build community.
At Jamestown, our congregation participates in small groups, most of which meet on the 2nd and 4th Sunday evenings each month. (Some meet at other times, more appropriate for the groups’ participants). Small groups discussion topics are based on the sermon of that Sunday morning. There is a place for YOU in our small groups!
