Evergreen Ministries will host a panel lecture titled “A Closer Look at Human Trafficking” on Tuesday, May 8, from 7:00 - 8:30 PM. An expert panel of speakers will share information and details on everything about this subject in Michigan and around the world. Learn the latest ploys by traffickers, how to recognize trafficking and those most at risk, what is happening on the internet and much more. The Michigan Task Force on Human Trafficking, Grand Rapids Police Task Force on Trafficking, Women at Risk, author and blogger Elise Graveline Hilton and International Justice Mission (IJM) will share their knowledge and stories along with answers to your questions during this special event. A Fair-Trade marketplace is available for shopping (cash/check) beginning at 5:30 PM and will include WAR, Crowned Free, Global Gifts, Better Way Imports, Welcome Home Ministries, and Be a Rose. A free-will offering will defray costs for the event. Although organized as a follow-up to a women's conference, anyone, male or female, is welcome to attend. Recommended for ages 14 and up.
